About the Event
Thupeho explores the sacred space between raw material and the final masterpiece. Curated as a definitive celebration of Women’s Month, this all-female collective explores visual art and live performance to convey the profound power of being moulded, shaped, and ultimately elevated to our highest form. Derived from the Sesotho verb ho bopa (to mould, create, or shape), the philosophy of Thupeho signifies the sacred process of creation—the raw transition of ideas being formed, identities being refined, and structures being built. This exhibition deliberately shifts the focus away from just the static, finished product. Instead, it honours the raw, intentional acts of creation, discovery, and live evolution.
