ABOUT

uNoqhakancu CORE OF THE SAND

The eMBO People from the Caves of Table Mountain

Remembering • Dismembering • Re-membering

"To remember is to gather what was scattered."

You are invited to enter a living circle of memory.

uNoqhakancu – Core of the Sand is a gathering where the voices of the eMBO people emerge from the ancient caves of Table Mountain, carrying stories that have endured through time, silence, and survival.

Led by Indigenous women, this experience offers a space to sit, listen, share, and remember together.

Through music, storytelling, photography, Indigenous foods, and conversations around the warmth of the fire,

we honour the knowledge that lives in the land, in our ancestors, and within ourselves. Come as a witness.

A celebration of the women who carry stories, songs and ancestral wisdom across generations. Featuring The Core of the Sand Family — Indigenous storytellers and knowledge keepers.

SANE — Future-rooted African soul & mbira.
