OUR PEOPLE, OUR PRIDE
As part of the school's 50th anniversary celebrations, we are presenting a whole-school concert this year in which every Ever will have the opportunity to perform on stage.
What better way to celebrate than by bringing a typical school setting to life, with learners in the classroom, on the playground, and at home? When the children are given an assignment to prepare an oral presentation about different professions, every grade becomes involved in bringing these occupations to life through humour, dialogue, beautiful costumes, creative lighting, music, and dance.
The traditions and customs of Eversdal Primary School over the past 50 years are woven throughout the story in a unique and meaningful way. At the same time, appreciation for parents/guardians, respect for all professions, and the value of every individual are highlighted.
As the main characters introduce different careers and share what their parents/guardians do, we are also introduced to a few rather unusual occupations.
Could it be possible that a child's parents/guardians are professional bringers of good luck? Or perhaps secret agents? Or even Sir Oink-A-lot and Lady Oink?

As deel van die skool se 50-jarige feesvieringe, bied ons vanjaar 'n heelskoolkonsert aan waar elke Ever die geleentheid kry om op die verhoog te verskyn.
Wat is dan beter as om 'n tipiese skoolsituasie uit te beeld met leerders in die klaskamer, op die speelgrond en by die huis? Wanneer die kinders die opdrag kry om 'n mondelinge aanbieding oor beroepe voor te berei, word elke graad betrek om met humor, dialoog, pragtige kostuums, uitstekende beligting, musiek en dans lewe te gee aan verskillende beroepe.
Die tradisies en gebruike van Laerskool Eversdal oor die afgelope 50 jaar word op unieke wyse deur die storie verweef. Daarmee saam word waardering vir ouers/voogde, respek vir alle beroepe en die waarde van elke mens beklemtoon.
Terwyl die hoofkarakters die verskillende beroepe bekendstel en vertel wat hul ouers/voogde doen, maak ons ook kennis met 'n paar baie ongewone beroepe.
Sou dit dalk moontlik wees dat 'n kind se ouers/voogde gelukbringers is? Of dalk geheime agente? Of selfs Sir-Oink-A-Lot en Lady Oink?
