Nyangara: The Musical

Nyangara: The Musical, organised and directed by UCT music education students, and presented by students attending Groote Schuur High School, is a musical based on the Shona folktale, Nyangara the Python. It follows a boy named Babacar, who grows up to become the chief of his village, and learns the value of kindness through his relationship with an infamous python named Nyangara. Through music, dance and drama, this production presents a story of bravery, kindness and loyalty.
