Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky composed his Piano Trio in A minor, Op. 50, à la mémoire d’un grand artiste—“in memory of a great artist”—as a deeply personal tribute to his close friend, pianist and composer Nikolai Rubinstein. Moving from profound grief and lyrical introspection to moments of radiant vitality, the work traces an extraordinary emotional journey before returning, finally, to quiet remembrance.

Join Suzanne Martens (violin), Peter Martens (cello), and Megan-Geoffrey Prins (piano) for a powerful performance of Tchaikovsky’s monumental trio.
