29th Annual Concerto Festival

The Hugo Lambrechts Music Centre celebrates its 29th annual Concerto Festival on 29 August at 19:00 in the Hugo Lambrechts Auditorium. A highlight of the Music Centre's concert calendar, the festival will showcase 11 exceptional young soloists from across South Africa, accompanied by the Hugo Lambrechts Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Liam Burden.

This year also marks the 40th anniversary of the Hugo Lambrechts Music Centre. To celebrate four decades of orchestrating youth, this year’s Concerto Festival will also feature the world premiere of a new concerto for three saxophones by acclaimed South African composer David Earl. The soloists are Quinn Goliath, Kian Goliath, and James Cilliers, all current or past pupils of the Music Centre.
