Through carefully guided exercises, they will practise essential skills such as measurement, marking out, cutting and assembly, applying these techniques directly to the making of their own lamp.

The workshop also explores traditional planing methods, the controlled use of chisels and the principles of hand-cut joinery. Participants will gain an understanding of how strong, precise joints are formed without relying on power tools, while developing a deeper appreciation for material, process and hand-crafted design.
