Joburg is now sitting prominently on a global scale next to influential cities like Paris, London and New York. This New Year Joburg will be the centre of attention when it comes to global Afro culture, art, music, food and fashion thanks to the arrival of the international AFROPUNK Fest.
All eyes are on Joburg and we are inspired to showcase everything there is to love about our city. We are Once in Joburg, an all-star hotel, located in the bustling Braamfontein. We will be offering an Afro-centric event called the Rebirth Festival. Our dedicated team has created a variety of local experiences preceding AFROPUNK where our doors will be opened for an adventure through culture, taste, and sound; aiming to expand guests’ African experience beyond the festival gates.
This specific event is about showcasing Joburg music and fashion. The city is buzzing with artists of every discipline. Absorbing a varety of both native and international influences the local music scene being made in South Africa is unique in its range. Traditional music and jazz, meets contemporary dance and electronic, offering an eclectic night of genuine Afro-inspired beats.
