Ascension represents growth. It's about stepping onto the floor with greater confidence, pushing your artistry further, and embracing the evolution of ballroom in Durban.

Whether you're walking for the very first time or returning to make a statement, this is your moment to rise.

Categories & Grand Prizes

• Face- Face is about confidence, beauty, and presentation. Competitors are judged on their facial features, skin, grooming, expressions, and the ability to captivate the judges through confidence and charisma. It's not just about being attractive, it's about knowing how to present your face and command attention. Male Figure & Female Figure Grand Prize
• Runway- Runway showcases confidence, posture, and the ability to own the floor. Judges are looking for a strong, controlled walk, clean lines, poise, and stage presence. Your walk should be fashionable, intentional, and demonstrate complete command of the runway. Both European and All American runway taken into consideration for this category. Male Figure & Female Figure Grand Prize.
• Body- Body celebrates physique, confidence, and self-love. This category is about presenting your body with pride, regardless of shape or size. Judges will be looking at proportion, conditioning, confidence, presentation, and how well you showcase your physique. Overall Grand Prize
• Best Dressed- Best Dressed is all about fashion, creativity, and styling. Contestants should present a cohesive look that demonstrates originality, attention to detail, and confidence. Judges will evaluate the outfit, concept, execution, and how well the competitor wears the look. Male Figure & Female Figure Grand Prize
• Bollywood Performance- Bring the energy, storytelling, and glamour of Bollywood to the ballroom floor. Competitors should embody the vibrant spirit of Bollywood through expressive choreography, musicality, stage presence, and performance quality. Costuming and character are encouraged to enhance the overall presentation. Overall Grand Prize
• Vogue Femme Performance- Competitors should demonstrate the five elements of Vogue Femme being Hand Performance, Catwalk, Duckwalk, Spins & Dips, and Floor Performance, while showcasing musicality, precision, creativity, and confidence. Overall Grand Prize
