An Intimate Concert on the Lawn

Featuring Steve Newman with Nish Pillay

& Felix & The Cats

Two distinctly South African musical worlds come together for a special afternoon of live music in the heart of Muizenberg.

Legendary guitarist Steve Newman, founding member of the internationally acclaimed band Tananas, has spent decades captivating audiences around the world with his extraordinary guitar playing. Blending African rhythms, jazz and world music influences, his intricate and expressive style is truly one of a kind. Joining him is tabla player Nish Pillay, whose mastery of Indian percussion brings a rich dynamic to their musical conversations.

Sharing the stage is Felix & The Cats, led by award-winning singer-songwriter, Nur Felix. The band brings an uplifting fusion of folk, world music, and infectious melodies, with lyrics exploring themes of hope, upliftment and social unity. The band features Vincent Meyburgh, bringing dynamic and vibrant percussion, Andre Albertyn, whose fluid bass lines seem to have a voice of their own, and Kyla Sage, whos beautiful vocal harmonies adds another dimension to the songs.

This concert takes place poolside, on the lawn, in a lovely private garden in Muizenberg. Come enjoy a relaxed Sunday afternoon of wonderful music and good company.

Bring along your own drinks and snacks, find a comfortable spot on the lawn and enjoy the magic.
