ABOUT
Once a year, something wonderful happens in Greyton
The roses come into bloom. Garden gates swing open. Visitors arrive from across South Africa and beyond. Restaurants fill. Wine is poured. Friends, old and new, linger beneath oak trees and mountain skies.
And one of the Western Cape's most beloved village traditions transforms beauty into impact.
For more than 35 years, the Greyton Rose Show and Open Gardens has brought together roses, gardens, hospitality, community spirit and philanthropy in support of Early Childhood Development initiatives across the valley’s six villages. Today, it is believed to be South Africa’s oldest Rose Show and one of the Overberg’s most treasured annual events.
