The Event

Convivium is based on the idea of paying it forward, using knowledge, inspiration and collaboration as a way of doing so. It is strictly non-profit and all the money generated through ticket sales will be used either for charitable donations or for meaningful contributions to the improvement of the local industry.  

At its core, Convivium wants to bring passionate people together, in an effort make real, measurable changes to the food and wine community in South Africa.

Convivium will take place on Sunday 4 February, a day filled with talks, workshops, forage walks and interactive tastings showcasing producers and food by some of the country's top chefs. Participating chefs include Luke Dale-Roberts and Ryan Cole (The Test Kitchen), Ivor Jones (Chefs Warehouse at Beau Constantia), Michelle Theron (Pierneef à La Motte), Jess Shepherd (The Table at De Meye), Jason Lilley (Jason bakery), Chris Erasmus (Foliage), Michael Cooke (Camphors at Vergelegen) and many more.
