Spring Flower Workshop with Veld & Sea
Saturday 3 October
11am - 2pm
A day immersed in flowers: botanical drinks, flower crown making, walk, talks and an edible flower feast.
Between September and November, Veld and Sea hosts our annual spring flower workshops at the Glasshouse in Cape Point. Our multisensory workshops cover edible flower education, a guided flower crown session, interactive botanical drinks, and flower-inspired lunch snacks.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The day starts with wild herbal tea and a browse through our little wild library, a walk through the gardens, and a talk introducing a range of edible flowers and their culinary and medicinal uses. Back at the Glasshouse, enjoy our rainbow botanical drinks creation station where you can make your own drinks with wild herbs, edible flowers, fynbos tinctures and syrups, before we move into a guided flower crown session using flowers from the walk and the bunch you bring along. An artfully decorated spring-inspired grazing table will be available for you to enjoy. You'll leave with a beautiful flower crown, a floral gift, edible flower notes and recipes.
