1. Hana Yim-Wahl — Violin
• Role: Violin / Co-Lead
• Background & Accolades: American-born South African violinist and chamber musician. A
sought-after soloist and orchestral player, she regularly performs with major national
ensembles, including the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra (JFO), the Mzansi Philharmonic
Orchestra, and Richard Cock’s Phoenix Company and also a Preforming and Recording
Member of the Pop String Ensemble ‘ The Muses’ Nominated for Best Instrumental
Performance at The US Toyota Woordfees awards.

2. Waldo Luc Alexander — Violin
• Role: Violin / Co-Lead
• Background & Accolades: Acclaimed South African virtuosic violinist and contemporary
music pioneer. Internationally renowned for his extensive solo and ensemble collaborations
with world-famous artist William Kentridge (including Notes Towards a Model
Opera and Refuse the Hour), composer Philip Miller, and choreographer Dada Masilo,
performing on prestigious international stages across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

3. Tiisetso Samuel Mashishi — Viola
• Role: Viola
• Background & Accolades: Highly regarded South African violist and chamber artist. A key
member of the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra (JPO), the JPO String Quartet, and
the Mzansi Philharmonic Orchestra. Frequently featured in high-profile classical series, radio
broadcasts, and theatrical cross-genre productions.

4. Viwe Mkizwana — Double Bass (Contrabass)
• Role: Double Bass / Arranger
• Background & Accolades: Award-winning jazz double bassist, composer, and arranger
holding a Master of Music degree from the University of Pretoria.
• Awards: Winner of the Mzantsi Jazz Award for Best Song and a 2-time South
African Music Award (SAMA) Nominee for his solo albums (African
Skies and Tributes). He has toured internationally with the MIAGI Youth Orchestra
and performed alongside legends like McCoy Mrubata.

5. Peter Auret — Drum Set & Percussion
• Role: Drums / Percussion / Sound Producer
• Background & Accolades: Celebrated South African jazz drummer and master audio
engineer.
• Awards: 4-Time South African Music Award (SAMA) Winner as a recording
engineer and producer at his acclaimed studio, Sumo Sound. A versatile rhythm
master who tours globally with top jazz and crossover acts, including the Charl du
Plessis Trio. Winner of the ‘Best Jazz Album’ Category of the 2025 South African
Music Awards.
