Inner City Art Walk

The Inner City Art Walk is a public art programme that features both existing and new public art works along St George's Mall, connecting through to North Wharf Square. The project is intended to be an invitation to walk the city, introducing beauty and cultural connection to the everyday experience of moving through Cape Town.

To mark the launch of the Inner City Art Walk, the Mission is hosting a walking tour from St George's Cathedral to North Wharf Square. The walk will feature the public artworks that form part of the first phase of the project, as well as sites of future installations. Participants will be invited to engage with these sites, share perspectives, and contribute to the conversation around a new public art programme for the Inner City. The walking tour will be guided by Gareth Pearson, head of Placemaking at the Mission for Inner City Cape Town.
