Bold Beauty Curator-led walkabout

Join us for a curator walkabout of Bold Beauty Project: As She Is, led by Marlene le Roux, ceo of Artscape and activist.

This Western Cape Chapter of the international Bold Beauty Project — a collaboration between Bold Beauty Project, 33BREE and The Artists Gallery — brings together local photographers and women from diverse backgrounds to challenge perceptions of disability and redefine conventional ideas of beauty through intimate portraiture.

As She Is moves beyond stories of limitation or triumph, inviting recognition of the person before us — not through the lens of difference, but shared humanity.

Presented during Women's Month and as part of the HEAT Festival, this is a celebration and a call to reconsider how we see beauty, capability, and belonging.
