Goatshed Winter Dinners | Shiraz & Shanks... and Comedy with Nik Rabinowitz

A winter favourite returns to the slopes of Fairview, this time with an extra helping of laughter!

Join us on Saturday, 25 July for Shiraz & Shanks and Comedy with Nik Rabinowitz, an evening of hearty food, exceptional wines, and one of South Africa's most celebrated comedians!

There are few pairings more comforting than a generous glass of Shiraz alongside a rich, slow-cooked lamb shank on a cold winter's evening. At the Goatshed Restaurant, that experience becomes something even more memorable: the warmth of the oven fire, good company around the table, and the unmistakable atmosphere of a Fairview winter evening.

Chef SJ Nel has created a four-course menu inspired by hearty seasonal flavours and refined country cooking, with each course paired with wines from the Fairview cellar. As Fairview's flagship red variety, Shiraz will naturally take centre stage on the night, accompanied by a few other cellar favourites chosen to complement the menu.

Guests will be treated to a performance by renowned South African comedian Nik Rabinowitz! Raised on a farm outside Cape Town and now one of the country's most recognisable comedy voices, Nik has spent nearly two decades entertaining audiences both locally and abroad with his sharp wit, quick observations, and uniquely South African sense of humour.

This has become one of the standout evenings on the Goatshed calendar, and with Nik joining us this year, it promises to be one to remember.
