Terms and Conditions: The Speakery Live
By purchasing a ticket for The Speakery Live event series, you agree to the following terms and conditions set out by The Speakery (Pty) Ltd.
1. General Booking & Attendance
- All tickets are sold through our authorised partner, Quicket.
- A valid ticket (digital or printed) must be presented at the entrance of The Capital on the Park (or other designated venues) for scanning.
- The Speakery (Pty) Ltd reserves the right of admission. Any guest whose conduct is deemed unruly or disruptive to the event's intimate nature may be asked to leave without a refund.
2. Non-Refundable Policy
- Please note that all ticket sales are final.
- Tickets are non-refundable if you are unable to attend due to personal circumstances, a change of mind, or "no-shows" on the day of the event.
- You are welcome to transfer or sell your ticket to a friend or colleague. This can be managed directly through the Quicket "Transfer" tool.
3. Postponement of Events
- The Speakery (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to reschedule an event to a later date due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., speaker illness, venue issues, or force majeure).
- In the event of a postponement, your original ticket remains valid for the new date.
- Ticket holders will be notified of the new date via the email address used during the Quicket checkout process.
4. Cancellation of Events
- Should an event be cancelled entirely by The Speakery (Pty) Ltd without a rescheduled date, all ticket holders will receive a full refund.
- Refunds will be processed automatically via Quicket to the original point of purchase within 7 working days of the cancellation announcement.
5. Event Content & Photography
- By attending, you acknowledge that The Speakery Live is a public event. You consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional and social media purposes by The Speakery (Pty) Ltd.
- The views expressed by guest speakers (e.g., authors and thought leaders) are their own and do not necessarily reflect the official position of The Speakery (Pty) Ltd.
6. Limitation of Liability
- The Speakery (Pty) Ltd and the venue (The Capital on the Park) will not be held liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings, or for any injuries sustained during the event, except where required by South African law.
