What happens when makeup artists are given complete creative freedom?

In the fashion industry, makeup artists are often given a brief — a specific look, colour palette, mood or direction to follow. But what happens when we take away the brief and simply trust the artist to create?

MUA Runway is a creative experience in Durban created to explore exactly that.

For this experience, makeup artists will be given the opportunity to create their own vision on models, using their individual artistry, imagination and interpretation of beauty to bring a look to life.

No traditional makeup brief.

No prescribed look.

Just creative freedom.

Guests will get to experience these unique makeup creations come together on the runway and see what beauty can look like when makeup artists are given the space to truly express themselves.

Beyond the runway, MUA Runway is an intimate experience centred around creativity, beauty, fashion, connection and good food, with a curated three-course meal for guests to enjoy.

And to end the experience, guests will receive a small take-home goodie bag as a little thank-you for being part of the day.

This isn’t just about showcasing makeup.
