Items:

• Solo (R120) not exceeding 4 minutes

• Extended solo / concerto movement (R200) not exceeding 6 minutes

• Programme (R250) 3 contrasting pieces

• Duet with teacher (R120)

• Duet with parent/adult (R120)

• Duet (R200; R100 per participant)

• Ensemble Solo (R250) fewer than 10 members; time limit 5 minutes

• Ensemble Solo (R300) more than 10 members; time limit 5 minutes

• Ensemble Program (R350) program of 2 to 3 pieces; time limit 15 minutes

• Choirs (R450) program of 3 pieces; time limit 15 minutes

Category:

• Beginner: Grade1 – 3 students who is not performing exam pieces yet.

• Novice: Beginner Grade 4 – 7 beginner students who is not performing exam pieces yet.

All students who are performing exam pieces or more advanced repertoire can enter under the following categories:

• Baroque (1600 – 1750)

• Classic (1750 – 1820)

• Romantic (1800 – 1900)

• 20/21st Century (1900 up to present)

• Contemporary/Jazz

• Own Choice

• South-African Composer

• Concerto Movement

• Improvisation
