Back by popular demand, Don Laka returns to the stage at Untitled Basement for an intimate, deeply immersive edition of The Legacy Series.

After an unforgettable night at The Basement, the conversation continues, only now it goes deeper. Closer. More intentional.

This is not a re-run of a performance; it is a living archive unfolding in real time.

A true pioneer of South African sound, Don Laka steps into this space not only as a performer, but as a storyteller and sonic architect. Audiences will be invited into a curated journey through seminal works like “Mamelodi” and “Ithuba” songs that have carried memory, identity, and cultural rhythm across generations.

But this night does not stay in the past.

In a rare and exclusive moment, Don Laka introduces selections from his forthcoming album offering audiences a first listen before release. New sound in direct dialogue with foundational works. What came before, and what is still becoming, held in the same room.

Expect one set of aprox 80-90 minutes, or two sets of approximately 45-50 minutes each with a 15 minute interval.

This show offers only reserved seating including standard tables for sharing, couples, groups, pre-show dinner and drinks (bottle service, etc.), some tables may not be suitable for dinner service.
