ABOUT

Kallie Ellis from the Somerset West library to Hani, Elsibe and Imibala about writing for children.

Kallie's book is the story of a ray of sunlight that decides to go and explore. His journey takes him through the solar system and to the planets in a fun and informative way.

Hani writes about big issues for little people. She engages children gently in questions of belonging, self-awareness and the environment, stretching their thinking and expanding their worldview.

Elsibe's story is the story of a young girl who goes to visit her favourite aunt who lives on a farm. With all the things to do on the farm, will there be enough time for baking?

Imibala's vibrant collection of poems, stories and artwork created by young South Africans aged 9 to 20 is more than just a creative showcase of perspectives on culture, identity and heritage. It is a platform for youth voices and a celebration of identity, pride and community.
