Winter Solstice Gathering 2026: fire, feast & ecstatic dance

The Earth is turning. The waters are moving. The Sun reaches its southernmost point and begins its return.

At this threshold between darkness growing and diminishing, we gather around the fire to give thanks for what has been, to listen deeply our moving bodies and the body of the Earth, and to renew our relationship with one another and with the living world.

While the rain feeds the soil, we come together in warmth and fire for an evening of music, movement, and sharing.

Location: Muizenberg (location is shared upon booking)

Flow of the evening:

5 PM Arrival – settle in with a complimentary cup of steaming chai

Opening Circle – we begin with sharing and connection, grounding into the space

Calling in the Directions – a Solstice Ritual to mark the return of light

Sound Journey with Ylinel – Let the waves of vibration carry you inward

Shared Feast – Please bring one dish to contribute to the table of plenty

Ecstatic Dance DJ AYIS – Close the night in dance
