ABOUT
The Human Capital Management (HCM) Division, in partnership with Strategic Initiatives and Administration (SIA) and the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture (FADA), warmly invites you to attend the Orange Impact Couture (OIC) Fashion Show 2026.
Join us for an inspiring evening where the University of Johannesburg’s 21-year journey of excellence, innovation, and transformation is showcased through creative wearable garments designed by talented fashion designers and staff members from participating faculties and support divisions.
More than a celebration of creativity, this year’s Orange Impact Couture Fashion Show is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of UJ’s Missing Middle students—academically deserving students who do not qualify for government financial aid yet lack the financial resources to fund their studies.
Tickets will be sold at R120 for General Access and R200 for VIP Access, with proceeds contributing towards initiatives that support students caught within this critical funding gap. By attending, you will not only experience a remarkable showcase of fashion and innovation but also play a role in helping students continue their academic journeys and realise their potential.
As Professor Letlhokwa George Mpedi aptly noted:
"There is nothing more depressing than watching academically deserving students struggling to register simply because they don’t have the financial means."
- University of Johannesburg News, "UJ in a new drive to assist ‘missing middle’ students with 2023 registration fees"
Your support will help make a meaningful difference in the lives of students striving to access and complete higher education. Together, we can help remove financial barriers and create opportunities for deserving students to succeed.
