This album came to us through urgency. It conceived itself in passion and found us amidst the tumult and turmoil of Southern African living. Art for its own sake found no ground here. But rather catharsis incarnate, audible, aggressive.

Many’s the argument and petty lovers quarrel the drummer was forced to bear witness to over her AK-47 snare drum. And many more are yet to come. But all in earnest, all with love. All in a deep and enduring care for the music. Why else would we endeavour so? I wonder.

Beneath the Bermuda Triangle we lost our minds and found our hearts, and this album found us. Soon to be yours.

A gathering in honour of a time and space long past, yet still lurks ever with us.

A year of dedication and two years of incubation has produced this THING, that we get to release with relief.

With reverence, we thank our dearest Acacia for aiding in its inception, execution and eventual reception. Your thumbprint will ever there remain in this, our third child, a hat-trick birthed in unity. As family we will always love, and forever miss your sparkles??
