Bass meets the city. On Mandela Day, Black Labone and Dub Collective bring sound system culture to the heart of Pretoria for a full day of roots, dub, and heavy low-end, from selectors on the wheels of steel to stacks of speakers built for the bassline.
We’re taking over Melrose House, the historic landmark on Jeff Masemola Street, and turning its grounds into a meeting point for the whole community. Bring the family, bring the kids, spread out on the lawns and enjoy a day of deep riddims, conscious sounds, good food, and good people, all in the spirit of unity that Mandela Day stands for.
A relaxed, welcoming space for all ages. Come early, stay for the day, and let the little ones discover the joy of sound system culture.
