Besoek die ateljee van ons feeskunstenaar, Daniel Naudé. Dis hier waar die werke geskep is wat deel vorm van Still Life, die uitstalling wat in die US Museum te sien is. Daniel se vorige projekte het hom die wye wêreld ingestuur, maar om die insekte vir Still Life af te neem, het hy diorama-stelle gebou en dit onder beheerde omstandighede gefotografeer met hoogs gevorderde kameratoerusting. Elkeen van die reusefoto’s is saamgestel uit duisende nabyfoto’s wat geneem is met ‘n kamera wat op ’n spoor gemonteer is. Tydens die ateljeebesoek verduidelik hy presies hoe hierdie proses gewerk het.

Visit the studio of our festival artist, Daniel Naudé. This is where the works were created that form part of Still Life, the exhibition currently on display at the SU Museum. While Daniel's previous projects took him out into the wide world to photograph the insects, for Still Life he built diorama sets and photographed them under controlled conditions using highly advanced camera equipment. Each of the giant photographs is stitched together from thousands of close-up shots taken with a camera mounted on a track. During the studio visit, he will share insigts into how the process was undertaken.
