This honest and insightful talk equips parents with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to identify early warning signs of substance use, risky sexual behaviour, peer pressure, online influence, and the growing impact of AI and digital interference in young people’s lives.
Parents will gain a deeper understanding of the current substance trends affecting teenagers as well as the devastating psychological impact substances can have.

Luke Lamprecht is a South African child protection and development specialist, speaker, advocate, and consultant with more than three decades of experience working in the non-profit, child protection, and youth development sectors. He is widely recognised for his work in child advocacy, neurodevelopment, trauma-informed support, and social intervention programmes focused on vulnerable children and adolescents.
Clint Swanepoel is a respected crisis intervention specialist. With a professional background spanning law enforcement, private security, and intervention support services. Clint works through True-North Assist where he supports families and individuals affected by addiction, mental health challenges, behavioural crises, and intervention-related needs.
