We are adding three powerful value-add workshops and presentations to make the day even more worthwhile:

Workshop 1: Help! I’m English… but I have to teach Afrikaans FAL (10:00 - 12:00)

A practical, encouraging and down-to-earth session for teachers who find themselves teaching Afrikaans First Additional Language, even when Afrikaans is not their own comfort zone. Expect usable ideas, classroom-friendly approaches and a little confidence boost to help turn “Eish!” into “Ek kan!”

Workshop 2: When a Teacher’s Gut Says Something Is Wrong (14:00 - 16:00)

Teachers often notice things before anyone else does. A child who struggles to focus. A learner who suddenly withdraws. A little one who hears, sees, processes or behaves differently. This workshop brings together local experts to unpack those “something is not quite right” moments and help teachers understand what to look for, when to act, and where to refer.

Workshop 3: The Lekker Laugh Break (17:15 - 18:30)

Because teachers carry a lot. Admin teams carry a lot. Bursars carry a lot. Schools carry a lot. So, for one special session, we are putting the marking, budgets, reports, meetings and stress aside and inviting you to surrender to uncontrollable laughter. This is our special treat: light-hearted, joyful and just what the school doctor ordered.
