2Summers Talk & Walk: Koe(k)sisters Edition

Join Heather (2Summers) for the second 2Summers Talk & Walk, which will combine Brixton's culture and architecture with Joburg's best Cape Malay koe(k)sisters. We'll gather at Breezeblock, Brixton's neighborhood café, then drive one kilometer to Yola's Kitchen in nearby Fietas. Yola, a prominent community activist and baker, will tell us about her work in Fietas and demonstrate how to make Cape Malay koeksisters (also known as koesisters -- we'll explain on the day). After a koesister tasting with Yola, we will return to Brixton for a tour of Heather and Thorsten's newly renovated Victorian house, the Flamingo Palace, and a brief cultural walk around Brixton with one or two surprises.

The 2Summers Talk and Walk is strictly limited to 12 guests. The ticket price includes the experience plus a dozen koesisters from Yola's Kitchen.
