ABOUT
Compulsory Submission of PAIA (Promotion of Access to Information Act) report to the Information Regulator
Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) should not be confused with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Both are overseen by the Information regulator and impact each other.
As of 1 January 2022, ALL private bodies (this includes health care professionals and health care practices) are required to submit a annual Section 83 (4) report (PAIA report) to the Information Regulator by 30 June. This report should include reporting on information requests, information refusals, etc.
This webinar will take delegates through the background of PAIA, it's relation to POPIA and how to navigate your compliance between the two.
Many professionals are still unsure of the PAIA reporting process and do not know how to navigate the submission process. This webinar will provide practical (step by step) guidance on how to submit this compulsory report.
The webinar will be presented by Annelie van der Westhuyzen.
