ABOUT

The Heartsong Collective invites you to another song medicine experience: SpiritSong – One Family

Join us for a heartfelt and uplifting afternoon where music becomes a shared journey of connection, healing, and joy. SpiritSong – One Family is an immersive experience where audience and performers gently come together through the power of song, creating a space that is both inspiring and deeply nourishing.

Held in the peaceful and sacred setting of the Sufi Temple in Newlands, this gathering offers an opportunity to slow down, open the heart, and reconnect — with yourself, with others, and with the unifying spirit of music.

Featuring the soulful and diverse voices of Lynne Poulsen, Nur Felix, Caitlin Bracken, and Farrell Adams, the afternoon will weave together songs of hope, belonging, resilience, healing, and celebration. Through moments of listening, reflection, and shared singing, we invite you into an experience that reminds us that music has the power to bring us home to ourselves and to each other.

Whether you come seeking inspiration, community, renewal, or simply the joy of singing together, you’ll leave feeling uplifted, connected, and part of something larger.

Featured Artists:

Nur Felix is a Cape Town-based singer-songwriter, musician, and theatre-maker. His authentically South African sound and uplifting musical message have reached audiences locally and internationally.

Singing and composing from the heart, Nur’s music blends World, Pop, and Folk, carrying themes of spirituality, peace, human rights, and personal reflection. With warm guitar-driven melodies and soulful rhythms, his songs bring an uplifting energy that gets audiences moving and grooving.

Nur’s music has been featured in several documentaries, and his song “Peace Date”, co-written with Nancy Beaudette (Canada), was a finalist in the International Peace Song Awards in Los Angeles. Royalties from the song funded 20 new computers for Manenberg Primary School on the Cape Flats, supporting their creative programmes.

Nur is currently on a sold-out tour of his music theatre production, Peace Train, while preparing for the official release of his studio album, We Are All We Need.

Lynne Poulsen has worked in many productions and events in South Africa over the last 40 years, as a singer, keyboardist, songwriter, arranger, and producer. However, in recent years, her focus has turned toward creating immersive, heart-centered group singing experiences through The Song Medicine Workshop and The Heartsong Collective choir. Her passion is to create musical spaces that bring hope, joy, and upliftment — spaces that build bridges across culture, religion, and economic divides, and remind us of our shared humanity through song.

Farrell Adams has been involved in the music industry since the early 90s, when he fronted the band, Nine. A high energy rock/fusion outfit hailing from the Cape Flats.

He has since been involved in various live acts such as Firing Squad and Golliwog among others as well as collaborations with Brasse Vannie Kaap, Black Noise and Fetish. He has also toured the country quite extensively, playing a number of festivals including OppiKoppi, Up The Creek and Splashy Fen to name but a few.

He has extensive studio experience as a result of a plethora of session work he has done with various producers over the years.

Caitlin Bracken is an indie-folk singer-songwriter who creates soulful, acoustic music rooted in authenticity and emotional connection. Her music centers on inner growth, resilience, and living from the heart. She has been singing on stages since 2019, and brings a warm, grounded presence to every performance, inviting listeners into moments of reflection, healing, and hope.
