ABOUT
Ten years after a version of this gripping story won 1st place at the 2015 Eastern Cape Schools’ Play Festival, this highly anticipated, deeply revised production returns to the stage. Grounded in extensive historical research, the play offers an authentic and deeply respectful tribute to a real-life individual who was cruelly murdered in Duncan Village.
The narrative follows Norizana, a protagonist granted a miraculous second chance at life. Returning to the spaces of her past, she must confront the individuals who shaped her destiny and navigate a path toward ultimate redemption. Through her eyes, the audience explores the heavy cost of standing out and enduring the consequences of being different in a largely unforgiving society.
Written and directed by Pierre Perold, this production is a profound exploration of justice, humanity, and the strength of the human spirit.
