From the very first chukka played in 1976 to the world-class program we have today, St Stithians Water Polo has built a legacy of excellence and family. To mark this incredible half-century milestone, we are calling all alumni, current players, parents, and coaches to join us for the ultimate reunion!

A Change to Our Master of Ceremonies

While we were incredibly excited to have Dave Pitcairn fly in from Australia to guide us through the evening, he is unfortunately no longer able to attend. On the exact same night as our anniversary dinner, his wife, Dee Pitcairn, is being honoured in Sydney following her recent retirement. Dee is being recognised for her phenomenal career in education, including 17 years as principal of Reddam House Sydney, as well as being a founding principal at Reddam House Constantia and Reddam House North Shore. We send our warmest congratulations to Dee on this incredible milestone!

Stepping up to the mic in Dave's place, we are thrilled to announce that Old Stithian and former Saints water polo coach, Graeme Lucas-Bull, will be our Master of Ceremonies! Get ready for incredible stories, classic Saints banter, and an unforgettable trip down memory lane with a true Saints legend at the helm.

?? Date: Wednesday, 21 October 2026 We have timed this celebration perfectly to serve as the ultimate curtain-raiser for the Saints Senior Invitational (22–25 October)—the most fiercely contested and anticipated national school water polo tournament in the country.

?? Part 1: The Splashback Games

• Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Venue: St Stithians Aquatics Centre
• Ticket Price: Free of charge

The Action: A massive "Decade vs Decade" gauntlet! Jump in to represent your era, or join us on the deck to cheer on the legends. We will structure the games based on your availability and enthusiasm. Time to bust out the speedos and rally the mates!

?? Part 2: The Splashback Disco Party

• Time: 6:00 PM until late
• Venue: Higher Ground Restaurant, St Stithians
• Ticket Price: R600 per person | R500 per pensioner (over 65 years) | R400 per student
• Current Saints Students: No tickets needed! You can grab a burger straight from the standard Higher Ground menu.
• 1st Team Players: Both Boys' and Girls' College 1st Team players are cleared to celebrate with us until 8:00 PM—then it's strictly time to rest and prep for the Senior Invitational starting the following day!

The Vibe: A retro-themed dinner party celebration and a massive throwback disco! We will be reminiscing over old photos, catching up with legendary figures, and presenting our vision for the next 50 years of Saints Water Polo.
