Sci-Enza Skills Lab

Do you ever think about solving problems? How about space?

If so, you might be a 'space' entrepreneur in the making.

Sci-Enza Skills Lab brings a one-day Entrepreneurship: Space edition for Grades 7 to 12, showcasing their business ideas destined for the stars.

Learners will be inducted on how to prepare a business plan, build a prototype and pitch their ideas.

Using systems thinking to understand problems from a broader perspective and the scientific method to test ideas/solutions, learners will approach business problem-solving like scientists.

Details of the program :

Date: 1 October 2026

Time: 9:00 – 13:00

Targeted audience: Grade 7 – 12

Place: Sci-Enza Science Centre, University of Pretoria, Hatfield Campus.

Please note the following important information:

1. The programme officially starts at 09:00 and ends at 13:00.
2. Children should be dropped off 15 – 30 minutes before the start of the programme and picked up at 13:00.
3. No child will be allowed to leave Sci-Enza premises during and after the programme without a parent/guardian.
4. Parents/guardians are not allowed to join the programme.
5. Parents/guardians must pack lunch and water for their children each day.
