A rising star known for his unique deadpan style & clever jokes, which are accessible to everyone, making you laugh but think as well

He also opened for Trevor Noah's, "That's Racist" tour

He won Comedian of the Year 2026 and Best Solo Show 2026 in early May 2026

Trevor Gumbi follows - a talented SA comedian, writer, and actor, known for his sharp wit and satirical take on everyday life

Gumbi is his able to tackle social issues with humor, making him a favorite among audiences.

Our headline act is Celeste Ntuli, popularly referred to as the queen of the Zulu comedy.

She is known a the first local female comic to record a one woman show. She won *Comedian of the Year 2025* and is one of SA’s biggest draws.

Dinner by Doppio is plated butter chicken curry with rice and vegetables. Alternative is a vegetarian curry.

We have some additional fun activities lined up for the evening.

So Take A Break from the chaos and join the PTA for what promises to be an evening bursting with laughter and community.

St Davids PTA Comedy Night May 2026 Terms and Conditions

1.     This ticket entitles you to entry and attendance of the PTA Comedy Night (the “Event”) hosted by St David's Marist Inanda.  

2.     You consent to being filmed, photographed, or otherwise recorded at the Event, and for such film, photograph or recording to be broadcasted, displayed or distributed without any compensation being paid to you.

3.     We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the Event at any time, or to alter or vary the programme of events, due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Refunds shall be at the discretion of St David's Marist Inanda.

4.     The following items are not permitted to be brought to the Event:

a.     Alcohol and alcoholic beverages;

b.     Heavy, sharp and/or dangerous objects;

c.     Any illegal drugs;

d.     Knives, firearms, weapons of any nature, or fireworks;

e.     Animals apart from authorised guide/assistance dogs;

f.      Food and refreshments.

5.     We reserve the right in our reasonable discretion to search any person or property to ensure that these prohibitions are adhered to, and we shall be entitled to confiscate any such items brought to the Event/onto the St David’s Marist Inanda premises.  St David's Marist Inanda and its owners, management, employees, agents and contractors shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused as a result of or in connection with such confiscation howsoever arising.

6.     Appropriate standards of behaviour are expected of all persons attending the Event and persons deemed to be behaving in a manner that is dangerous or unacceptable in the opinion of St David's Marist Inanda or its staff, agents or contractors may be refused admission and/or removed from the Event.

7.     You agree to follow and obey all rules, instructions, directions and protocols put in place by St David's Marist Inanda at the Event.

8.     In case of emergency please follow instructions and directions from St David's Marist Inanda officials or staff.

9.     No alcohol is permitted to be sold to under 18’s. When purchasing alcohol at the Event, if you appear to be under the age of 18 you may be asked for proof of age.

10.  You voluntarily assume all risks and dangers incidental to the Event, whether occurring before, during or after the Event.   

11.  You agree on your own behalf (and on behalf of your dependents, heirs and executors) and any minor accompanying you or for whom you purchased a ticket to indemnify St David's Marist Inanda and its owners, management, employees, agents and contractors from and against all claims for damage and/or loss which you may suffer or sustain as a result of or in connection with the Event howsoever arising.

12.  St David's Marist Inanda and its owners, management, employees, agents and contractors shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense (whether direct, indirect or consequential) howsoever arising from or in connection with the Event.  

13.  You waive any and all claims for death, disability, personal injury, illness, delays, loss of property, damage or any other loss, harm, cost or expense arising out of, resulting from, relating to or in connection with the Event against St David's Marist Inanda and its owners, management, employees, agents, contractors, and all of their respective parents, affiliated entities, agents, officers, directors, owners and employees, on your own behalf (and on behalf of your dependents, heirs and executors) and any minor accompanying you or for whom you purchased a ticket.
