Cape Town’s newest comedy night launches with an absolutely stacked lineup, brought to you by Atlantic Surf Collective, Ground Culture, and Kiff Comedy — with Ground Culture recently receiving the 2026 Comedy Show of the Year award.
Headlining the very first LAST THURSDAYS is the brilliant Nate Levinrad, fresh off the back of his debut two-night one-man show, “Takeaways.”
Nate is one half of the acclaimed comedy duo “That’s Not Funny,” a cornerstone of the local comedy scene, and one of Cape Town’s fastest-rising talents. A regular at arts festivals around the country and a hugely respected presence on the circuit, Nate is stepping firmly into the next level of South African comedy.
And somehow… the lineup just keeps getting stronger.
Di Frost — fresh off her Savannah Comedy Choice Award nomination and one half of the legendary “Comedy on kloof” duo. Sharp, dry, fearless comedy from one of the scene’s true powerhouses.
Anton Taylor — Instagram favourite and breakout star of the hit “Tali” series, where he played Darren. Effortlessly funny with a massive online following and serious stage presence.
Kaashif Stallenboom — coming off a standout performance at the Jive Funny Festival, where he reached the semi-finals and impressed audiences with his deadpan delivery, dry wit, and beautifully relaxed pacing. Cool, understated, and consistently hilarious.
Paul Lee — the American on the lineup, and a long-standing presence in the Cape Town comedy scene. Paul has opened for many of South Africa’s biggest comedians while also building his own successful comedy events across the northern suburbs and recently launching a new night at Speakeasy.
Liam Whitcher — an exciting young comic and filmmaker from Durban with a wonderfully left-field comedic brain and a very bright future ahead of him.
And Gareth Kiff will be hosting the evening — trying to hold the whole thing together while talking too much about therapy, addiction, religion, music, and whatever else pops into his head.
This isn’t just another comedy night.
It’s comedy in a surf shop.
It’s intimate, weird, local, authentic, and packed with killers.
Come grab a burger, a beer, a coffee, and settle in for a ridiculous night of stand-up in one of the coolest spaces in Blouberg.
Limited seating available.
