2026 Cape Winemakers Guild Auction Masterclass Tasting - Cape Town

The members of the Cape Winemakers Guild invite you to the 2026 Cape Winemakers Guild Auction Masterclass Tasting at the Grand Ballroom, The Westin, Cape Town.

This is one of only two rare opportunities to taste all the 2026 Cape Winemakers Guild Auction wines presented and poured for you by the winemakers themselves - the other being the Gauteng Masterclass Tasting at Strauss & Co in Houghton. This makes each event a truly special experience.

This will be a formal seated tutored tasting of all the 2026 CWG Auction wines, presented and poured for you by the winemakers, followed by snacks.

Please arrive at 14:30 for registration and an on-arrival bubbly. The tasting will start at 15:00 sharp and end at approximately 18:00, followed by snacks until 19:00.

The Final Pre-Auction Tasting traditionally held before the Friday Auction session has been replaced with an informal walk-around tasting of all the auction wines, poured and presented by the winemakers, on Friday 2 October from 10:00 to 12:00 at Brickfield Canvas in Cape Town.

The 2026 Cape Winemakers Guild Auction takes place at Brickfield Canvas in Cape Town, conducted by Strauss & Co, South Africa's leading art and wine auction house. All auction wines are offered across two sessions - the Friday session on 2 October 2026 and the Saturday session on 3 October 2026.

Once your account is set up, register to bid on the 2026 Cape Winemakers Guild Auction on the Strauss & Co website before Thursday, 1 October 2026. One registration covers both sessions.
