Terry Fortune is one of South Africa’s most beloved entertainers — a Cape Town legend whose career spans more than five decades of cabaret, musical theatre and live performance. Known to a generation of performers as “Uncle Terry,” he has worked alongside David Kramer, Taliep Petersen, Sophia Foster and Richard Jon Smith, earned a kykNET Fiëstas Lifetime Achievement Award, and accumulated enough stories along the way to fill several books — including at least one involving a ship on fire near Las Palmas.

Brian Berkman’s Pringle Proms is delighted to welcome Terry Fortune for an intimate afternoon at home in Pringle Bay — a rare opportunity to spend time with a true South African original in one of the most beautiful settings on the Overberg coast.

Guests will sit down to a leisurely buffet lunch prepared by host Brian Berkman, followed by a wide-ranging live interview in which Berkman draws on Fortune’s extraordinary life and career. Terry will then perform a selection of songs to round off a most memorable afternoon.

The ticket price of R450 per person includes a full buffet lunch and beverages. Guests are warmly invited to bring their own wine.

A portion of every ticket sold goes to KAWS — the Kleinmond Animal Welfare Society — a registered non-profit organisation serving Pringle Bay, Betty’s Bay, Kleinmond and the surrounding Overberg coast. KAWS provides shelter, veterinary care, sterilisation services and loving rehoming for neglected and abandoned animals across the region. The charity is especially close to our hearts: it is from where our dog daughter Julie, found her forever home.
