Our packed programme includes all well-known works from opera, zarzuela, art songs, and tango performed by local opera singers including tenors Zuko Cutu and Thuso Meshack Stoffel, baritone Dumisani Kevin Rini, and sopranos Emily Dangwa and Boitumelo Ntanstiso, all accompanied by Esther van der Merwe. Exceptional instrumentalists include cellist Celeste Venter, violinist Diandra Steenekamp, and guitarists Maryke van Heerden, Vangeli Grammatikos, and Maretha Krige.?????????

We celebrate the rich heritage of Spanish song and zarzuela, featuring favourites such as De España Vengo and the powerful No puede ser by Pablo Sorozábal. Some unforgettable operatic moments are drawn from two of the world’s most celebrated works. From Don Giovanni by Mozart comes the elegant serenade Deh, vieni alla finestra, while Bizet's Carmen is represented in contrasting colours — from the bold Toreador Song to the tender La fleur.

Prepare to be swept into the world of tango and Latin classics with timeless works like Granada, Quizás, Quizás, Quizás, and iconic tangos including Por una Cabeza, La Cumparsita, and El Choclo ??

Instrumental highlights Asturiana by Manuel de Falla and the hauntingly beautiful Cavatina from The Deer Hunter ???
