ABOUT

Okay girlies ????

The mornings are getting a little cooler, with just enough sunshine to peek through… but that’s not stopping us from getting on our bikes.

For May, we’ve got three rides lined up — giving us plenty of time to explore more of this beautiful city together. Expect routes that gently challenge you, taking us through spots like Melrose Arch, Sandton City, and parts of Rosebank, Wanderers, Illovo, and Sandhurst.

Join us on Saturday, 16 May 2026

Oxford Parks (outside Ethos Restaurant, corner Eastwood & Parks) - don't worry about the bikes they will find you there

Arrive at 08:30 for a 09:00 start

Just make sure you’re there on time. We know mornings can be a bit of a struggle (we see you), but we roll out at 09:15 sharp to respect everyone who’s ready.

Our rides are social and inclusive, which means we move at the pace of the last rider, we start together and finish together. Expect around 10–15km over 1.5 to 2 hours, leaving you with the rest of your Saturday to enjoy.

While our rides are beginner-friendly, they do invite you to stretch yourself a little. Nothing extreme just a nudge to try something new and let your body surprise you. But we do advise that if you aren't comfortable riding we will convert your ride to a lesson, this requires some honesty.

A few gentle tips to make the most of your ride:

• Come fuelled - cycling takes energy, so eat beforehand and bring water

• Pack small snacks or electrolytes to keep your energy up (we’re unable to provide these)

• The weather can change, so bring sunscreen, a hat, and a light jacket just in case

• Wear whatever feels comfortable — no pressure, no “cycling look” required

Before you book, a few important things to note:

• No walk-ins - bikes and helmets are allocated based on bookings (especially when we’re not at our home base)

• Knowing your height helps us get the right bike for you (you can visit Cycle Boutique at 44 Stanley if you’re unsure)

• Spots are limited and first come, first served — if you’re on the shorter side, arriving early helps you get the best fit

• We do have a strict no-refund policy. If you miss your ride, you’ll need to book again for the next one. We’re also unable to swap ride dates, so please double-check before booking.

• If it rains, we’ll reschedule — just keep an eye on our IG page (@girlsonbikes) for updates.

Most importantly, come as you are. We can’t wait to ride with you
