Pong League Blume Lounge Hillcrest : The Midweek Takeover

Midweek is no longer a pause between weekends — it’s where things actually happen. Welcome to Pong League: The Midweek Takeover, a running beer pong league built for consistency, competition, and just enough chaos to keep it honest.

From 29 April through to the end of July, every Wednesday and Thursday night belongs to pong. Wednesdays take place at Hops Riverside, and Thursdays at Blume Lounge. One league, two venues, one leaderboard tracking it all.

The season opens on Tuesday, 29 April at Hops Riverside, followed by an Exhibition Night on Wednesday, 30 April at Blue Lounge — free-to-play, no points, just a warm-up before the real climb begins. From there, the league locks into its rhythm: every Wednesday and Thursday, no breaks, no excuses.

League entry is R70 per night, giving players access to points and rankings, while casual players can jump in at R100 per night without committing to the full season.

Points are awarded simply: 5 points for participation, 10 points for a win, and when the season reaches its peak, the final Beer Olympics will run on double points, shaking up the leaderboard and giving everyone one last shot at glory.

Across the season, players build momentum, rivalries form, and the table remembers who shows up and who folds. This is where midweek becomes ritual, where names start to carry weight, and where every shot matters more than it should.
