ABOUT
Zip Zap Circus, in association with the High Commission of Canada, will present Boreal at the Zip Zap Dome for two shows only in December 2017.
Inspired by the various textures and colours of the north of Canada, Boreal will interpret choreography that depicts powerful ocean tempests, vast tundra, sumptuous forests and extensive plains. Boreal will depict a journey through the great wilderness of Canada, an area with a subarctic climate that is extreme, where Nature is wild and dramatic landscapes are of a magnitude that is humbling to Man.
This production will be directed by Brent van Rensburg with choreography by Claudel Doucet and with guest acrobats Samuel Renaud, Louis Joyal and Marilou Verschelden, all from Canada, performing alongside outstanding artists from Zip Zap – Jason Barnard , Phelelani Ndakrokra and Jacbus Claassen. This dynamic mix of performers from across the globe will have the audience members holding onto the edge of their seats in a production that will include circus acrobatics in a fusion of lighting, sound and daring displays of aerial artistry.
