ABOUT
An French Liason: The Dorian Consort: An afternoon of food, drink, medieval music and other indiscretions. Join us for an afternoon of a Capella music from the 16th century. We'll be exploring the secular music of the French courts, intended for romancing maidens, charming royalty, and celebrating fine wine.
A baroque inspired menu prepared by chef Gideon will be served from 12:00
Menu
Hors d'ouvre: Canapé of cucumber, salmon mousse and saffron crème on a marjoram biscuit. Best to enjoy it with champers.
Mains: Bukkenade (beef stew) served with sourdough bread baked from our 110 year old culture, Genovese Tart and a pottage of carrots.
Dessert: Payne Foundewe (bread pudding) with Zabaglone (wine custard).
Cost: Lunch and concert R 200
After the concert we will serve: Lavender cakelets and Blaunderellys (apple custard tartlets)
with coffee/tea for an extra R 60.
Time: 12:00 Lunch and concert starts at 14:00
Seats at the back of the theater that does not include the lunch can be booked at R 130 pp. and will not include any food.
