When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a crime, she is placed into protective custody, in the last place anyone would expect: a convent. As she transforms the struggling choir into a sensational musical force, Deloris brings newfound confidence, laughter and rhythm to the sisterhood, discovering the true power of community, courage and joy along the way.

This vibrant school production showcases the talent, energy and dedication of Curro Durbanville High School’s performers, celebrating the spirit of music, movement and storytelling. With its infectious songs, heartfelt humour and powerful ensemble work, SISTER ACT JR promises an evening of entertainment for the whole family.

Based on the hit film of the same name, Sister Act JR. features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater, a book by Cheri and Bill Steinkellner, and additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane. The show opened on the West End in 2009, and a revised adaptation opened on Broadway in 2011 which received multiple Tony nominations, including “Best Musical.”
