ABOUT
Pitch Your Mate
Where your friends become your dating profile
Tired of awkward swiping, dead-end dating apps, and trying to explain yourself in a bio that sounds nothing like you?
Pitch Your Mate flips the whole thing around.
Instead of trying to sell yourself, your friends do it for you.
At this event, people take the stage and pitch their single friends to a live audience using short, funny, thoughtful presentations. Think less corporate slideshow… more chemistry, personality, humour, and authentic human connection.
Because let’s be honest:
Your friends probably describe you better than you describe yourself.
And they are far more likely to mention the things that actually matter:
- what you’re like in real life
- why you're the best catch
- your strange habits
- your hidden green flags
- and why someone would genuinely enjoy being around you
What to Expect
- Friends pitching their single mates live on stage
- Short 3–5 minute presentations
- Food, drinks, conversation, and mingling afterwards
- A room full of people who are genuinely open to meeting someone
- A relaxed atmosphere without the pressure of traditional dating events
Some pitches will be hilarious.
Some unexpectedly sincere.
Some surprisingly persuasive.
That’s part of the magic.
How It Works
Option 1 — Pitch Your Mate
Buy a Pitch Ticket and prepare a short presentation about your single friend.
You can include:
- photos
- funny stories
- personality traits
- deal makers
- deal breakers
- hobbies
- red flags (within reason)
- why they’re genuinely a catch
Option 2 — Come Watch
Not pitching anyone?
No problem.
Come for the entertainment, the atmosphere, and the opportunity to meet people in a far more natural environment than a dating app.
A Few Ground Rules
This is not a roast.
The goal is to make your friend look good, not publicly embarrass them.
Good humour is encouraged.
Cruelty is not.
Who Should Come?
- Singles
- Friends of singles
- Curious people
- Social people

Important
- Consent matters. Your mate must know they’re being pitched.

- Presentations should stay within the allocated time.
- Respect the room, the people, and the vibe.
You never know.
One well-told story, one thoughtful introduction, or one unexpectedly honest presentation might change someone’s life.
