Dust off your dancing shoes and get your jazz hands ready! The Great Brak River Cabaret returns on 28 and 29 May, and this year we are bringing the heat with a brand-new theme: Sounds of the South & All That Jazz!
Join us at De Dekke Restaurant for an unforgettable night where local legends and South African superstars share the stage. As always, every cent raised goes directly to Child Welfare South Africa, CAWS 4 Paws, and the development of our incredible local talent.
THE HEADLINERS
- TOUCH OF CLASS: We are thrilled to host this legendary South African sensation! Known for their incredible musicality and chart-topping hits, they are set to bring the house down.
- YOUR HOSTS: The evening will be guided by our charismatic duo—local legend Nikki du Toit and celebrated author and storyteller Sidney Gilroy.

MEET THE TALENT: DETAILED ARTIST BIOS
Touch of Class A renowned South African musical group celebrated for adapting through decades of music history. Currently featuring Deon van der Merwe and Gary Forwood, they are famous for their powerhouse covers and original hits.
Nikki du Toit & Sidney Gilroy Nikki is our beloved local legend of the stage, joined this year by Sidney Gilroy—a celebrated Afrikaans crime novelist and digital storyteller who brings a touch of literary flair to our hosting duo.
Edinia Citwa A singer, songwriter, and 2024 ATKV-Crescendo finalist. With a voice that "woos" and a debut album launching this year, Edinia is a rising star on the national stage.
Robert Smallz SA The "Mossel Bay Has Got Talent" winner is back! An energetic rapper and recording artist known for hits like "Malume Awesome," Robert’s creativity has already earned him national breakthroughs.
Zanah Lee Erasmus Back by popular demand! This former Idols finalist and soulful cabaret star is a force of nature whose voice is always a highlight of the night.
Petronel Baard Our Musical Director is a theatre powerhouse. A writer, performer, and producer, Petronel has shared stages with South Africa's greatest icons and brings her immense passion to every note.
The Franco Engelbrecht Trio Leading our band is Franco Engelbrecht on piano, with Jewlin Jonkers on drums and Eckhart Muller on bass. Trained under jazz masters, this trio was a massive hit last year and we are lucky to have them back.

- The Stardust Ladies (Dancing): Sonja van der Walt, Janean Kuyler, Zenobia Petkoon, Adri Oosthuizen, Lenie Grobler, Lettie Swanepoel, Wendy Malan and Cesserien Booyens.
- Solo Dancers: Angie van Aarde and Zenobia Petkoon.
- The Opera Mime Act: Lettie Swanepoel, Wendy, Keith Coppin, and Dawie Heunis.
- Comedy: The "Old Man in Black" (OMIB) Dave Robbins.
