An exciting new live act on the local music scene, bringing the magic of Motown to life with a high quality show packed full of timeless hits, smooth harmonies, and an energetic tribute to one of the most iconic eras in music history.

café Roux audiences can expect a nostalgic journey through classic hits, brought to life with fresh energy and a modern stage presence that keeps the spirit alive for both longtime fans and new listeners.

With a passion for live performance and a deep respect for the legends who defined the genre, The Biz is set to captivate audiences and get everyone on their feet.

About the band:

• Erica has been singing on Cape Town stages since the 90’s, performing with acts such as Wired to the Floor, Western Union, Smokestack and Still Smokin’. Her vocals range from Blues, Jazz, Pop to Rock Ballads and now Motown.

• Clive has been involved with the Cape Town music industry for many years. He has been part of numerous Grand West ‘Roxy Revue Bar’ tribute shows, encompassing artists such as The Eagles, The Beatles, Celine Dion, The Bee Gees – the list goes on.

• Neil is a multi-instrumentalist who began playing piano at age 11 but now mainly performs on bass. He has toured across South Africa, played major festivals, and had his original music featured on local and international radio, including MTV and 5FM. A former member of several well-known bands including Kelvin Declined and Montreux, he continues to release music, and performs live in theatre and venues with Mike and The Harmonix.

• Arnold has been playing the music scene for longer than he cares to remember. He has been part of Wall Street, Smokestack and is currently performing with Still Smokin’. He became part of The Biz rhythm section on extremely short notice and he is nailing it!

• Similar to Clive, Gordon has been part of the local music industry for longer than anyone can remember. He has been part of McCully Workshop, Late Final as well as numerous tribute shows. He produces studio Prog Rock albums with Tully McCully as well as performing live with Mike and The Harmonix.

BOOKING NOTES

If you can’t get the table configuration you want and end up booking seats on different tables as a result, please do so under the same email address and we’ll automatically put you together on one table. In fact, any seats booked under the same email address we will assume are together and arrange seating at one table.

If this is not the case, however, or if you are booking with friends under different email addresses, just let us know and we’ll make a plan to seat you together.
