Witsies Choir Games 2026

Witsies Choir Games are a unique artistic idea in comparison to traditional meritorious choir competitions that only invite elite choirs to take part, instead through the Campus Housing & Residence Life (Wits ResLife Office), such competitions are open to all professional and non-professional residence choirs. Choirs from all residences including the Private Student Accommodation interested in gaining ResLife festival and competition experience, can compete according to their level of artistic achievement.

With the idea to organize the Witsies Choir Games, CHRL has opened a door to new impulses and perspectives for the residences choral movement. Witsies Choir Games serves as the competition that has various categories for all types and levels of choirs in different degrees of difficulty, with or without compulsory pieces. The competition offer good competitive conditions, valuable artistic contacts, various workshops and seminars, as well as practice opportunities with professional performers to assist choirs to develop. Experts and leading choirmasters will guarantee a high level of support for all participants.
