Leveraging AI for NPOs | Season 2

ABOUT

Non-profit organisations work with information every day, from programme records and attendance registers to volunteer information, reports and feedback. But having information is one thing. Understanding what it tells us, recognising its limitations and using it to inform decisions is another.

We have gone through communicating more effectively with AI and collaborating with the system to explore ideas, solve problems and develop our work. But how do we use AI to make sense of organisational information and support better decisions?

That's where our next webinar comes in.

In this practical session, we'll explore how AI can help us examine information, identify patterns, ask better questions and think more critically about what the evidence tells us.

Together, we'll learn how to:

  • Make sense of organisational information before jumping to conclusions.
  • Use AI to identify inconsistencies, organise information and prepare data for further exploration.
  • Ask better questions about programme activities, participation and organisational effectiveness.
  • Explore patterns and possible explanations without confusing assumptions with facts.
  • Challenge AI-generated insights, identify gaps and check whether conclusions are supported by evidence.
  • Turn verified findings into clear, useful outputs to support reporting and management discussions.

We'll work through a practical, fictional non-profit case study, exploring how AI can help an organisation understand its volunteer programme and identify questions worth investigating.

The key shift is:

From working with AI ? to thinking with AI and making better-informed decisions.

This is Augmented Intelligence in practice: using AI to extend our ability to understand information and explore possibilities, while keeping human judgement, organisational context and responsibility at the centre.

Webinar Details

  • 5 November 2026
  • 10:00–13:00 SAST
  • Zoom (link provided after registration)
  • R349 per person

Closing date for registration: 4 November 2026 - 12:30pm

What you'll receive

  • Practical AI reference guides
  • Prompt and interaction examples
  • Presentation slides and supporting resources
  • Practical exercises to continue learning

This webinar is the third step in our four-part capability journey, moving from communicating and collaborating with AI to thinking critically with AI before we move on to putting AI to work. It is also a stand-alone so if you’ve missed the other sessions, no problem.

If you've already started experimenting with AI, this is your opportunity to go beyond generating answers and start using AI to examine information, challenge assumptions and support more informed organisational decisions.

Places are limited to keep the session practical and interactive.

We look forward to having you join us.
